I am a member of the International Economics Department in the School of Economics here at Kinki Univerisity.
My main teaching responsibilities are Labour Economics, Labour Policy (in Japanese) and an Intoductory Microeconomics course (in English). I have been teaching economics in Japanese universties for more than twenty years.
I am originally from Australia. I grew up in the south-eastern city of Melbourne and did my tertiary studies in Canberra the capital city. Older Japanese remember Melbourne as the host city of the 1956 Olympics, but young people know it as the city to go to for tours to see fairy penguins.
In many ways Japan is just about as different as it could be from Australia. When I am here in Japan I miss home but I also do miss Japan when I go home for a visit.
